1937年，日本发动全面侵华战争。家国大义之下，多少有志青年从长夜大梦中惊醒，奋不顾身投入救国救亡的抗日战争中。南京中央大学数学系学生蓝胭脂（赵丽颖 饰）和上海军需处处长冯子雄（石兆琪 饰）的爱女冯曼娜（陶昕然 饰）曾是一对亲密无间的好闺蜜，胭脂加入国民党投身抗日战线，冯子雄则首鼠两端当起日本人的汉奸，个人的理想和父辈的选择让闺蜜之间终生隔阂。与此同时，共产党隐秘战线也在积极抗日。共产党人周宇浩（陆毅 饰）已经成为南京军事委员会参谋部少校参谋，他在战斗中势必和胭脂产生交集。 经过血与火的考验，这对年轻人最终走到了一起，而他们还将面临更为严苛的挑战……
