深夜，一阵枪声划破长空，摩托车后座上的杀手连续射击，黑道人物吕焕和他贴身保镖身中数弹，当场毙命…… 吕焕是黑道上的一哥，他在道上纵横多年，各个帮派基本上都买他的面子…… 杀手经过了精心策划，作案手法干脆利落。刑警队长邹天明赶到现场，只提取到了几枚史密斯维林手枪弹壳，因是深夜，周围也无目击者…… 吕焕的亲弟吕东和他的军师董宏兵决定沿用黑道上的解决办法，告诉手下人不与警方合作，自己解决争端，决计报复…… 吕东几年前曾被邹天明怀疑雇凶杀死其情妇黄小丽的丈夫，但终因关键证据的缺失而无法追究。邹天明至今还保留着现场提取的一枚弹壳，那是史密斯维森手枪的专用弹壳…… 某夜总会发生枪战，吴建军和其手下数人受伤，一人当场死亡，开枪人趁乱而逃…… 警方来到医院找吴建军录口供时，吴建军却秘密出院，两日后，吴建军和他的马仔在千进而之外的疗养院被枪杀……
