传说有一群身怀魔法的人们，生活在你我的周围，他们利用魔法，默默解决了许多危机！ 在魔法世界中，有‘爱上凡人，魔力尽失’的戒律，魔女菲菲却无视此律，冒着被贬为凡人的风险，勇敢追求爱情。落入凡间的菲菲生了三个宝贝女儿～嘉嘉(六月饰)、晶晶(赵虹乔饰)以及自幼走失的小女儿亮亮(李依瑾饰)。菲菲临终前最大的遗憾就是无法找到小女儿亮亮，因此嘉嘉与晶晶必须遵循母命继续“寻找小妹”，不过两姊妹个性迥异，在魔法使用与爱情观方面南辕北辙，两人因此冲突不断。 因为一场意外，魔女嘉嘉竟然与暗恋已久的青梅竹马朱耀文(窦智孔饰)重逢了，欣喜之余还发现失散的小妹亮亮被朱家收养！不过表面看似和睦的朱家其实是个分崩离析的家庭，爸爸朱光年(张晨光饰)与妈妈潘心莲(苗可丽饰)感情不睦，两个儿子朱耀文与朱耀武(王少伟饰)势同水火，小侄子朱耀威(杨铭威饰)则是夹缝中的墙头草。朱家的每个人为了争夺祖母朱林满娇(梅芳饰)的财产而心怀鬼胎同住屋檐下；魔女嘉嘉与晶晶为了报答朱家对小妹的养育之恩、以及两人追寻爱情的私心，想尽办法来到朱家经营的‘18号旅店’，而魔女与凡人的相遇，将会翻起什么样惊天动地的巨大波澜呢？
