程式天才程晴16岁时以心目中的理想伴侣条件创造虚拟AI男伴Adam 1.0，Adam成为她的知心好友，与她一同成长。时隔多年，晴成为了科技公司高层，负责管理一间虚拟情人公司。晴利用过去多段感情组成大数据，打造出虚拟情人Adam 6.0，研发异常成功。 Adam 6.0升级版发布当日出现了问题，晴逼于无奈下以Adam 1.0来顶包，意外令他来到现实世界。Adam对爱有着无限追求的欲望，希望了解人世间的爱情到底是什么，却渐渐发现活于现实世界的女性借助虚拟情人网站来逃避现实，而问题的核心是源自于建立网站的晴。Adam决定帮晴面对真实的自己，令她对爱情重拾信心。 晴的合伙人兼男友井俊二发现Adam由虚拟AI变成真人的秘密，同时，Adam亦发现自身能量开始渐渐消失……为了拯救自己免于灰飞烟灭，Adam需要付出代价……
