改编自藤本树创作的同名漫画作品，TV动画《电锯人》先导PV和制作阵容公开。被骗得负债累累，过着贫困生活的少年电次，与链锯恶魔波奇塔一起做恶魔猎人勉强活了下去，但是有一天却被残暴的恶魔盯上了。震荡世界的黑暗英雄物语开始。该作将由制作过《咒术回战》《进击的巨人》《体操武士》《佐贺偶像是传奇》《战栗杀机》《狂赌之渊》《巴哈姆特之怒》等人气作品的MAPPA负责制作。MAPPA寄语：无论如何都希望由MAPPA对这部作品动画化，赌上工作室的威信，一定会为期待《电锯人》的大家呈现出最棒的动画 。作者藤本树留言（互吹）：这个像《异兽魔都》和《咒术回战》山寨似的《电锯人》，竟然要由负责《异兽魔都》和《咒术回战》动画的动画公司制作！？
