《大明悬案录之泥犁篇》讲述六扇门女捕头丁昭昭在上任之初就被卷入离奇的妖狐杀人案，死者在密闭房间被拔舌而死，做成了陶俑，而后面的连续案件更加诡异。在众目睽睽之下身体起火被烧死的书院学子，镖头封存好箱子送到百里之后，最终箱子打开却出现了镖头被冰冻的尸体，大牢内被悬挂于铁树之上的小吏，死于血池中的厨娘一家，他们无一不是死于十八地狱刑罚之下。丁昭昭剥丝抽茧，发现这些都与十年前的一场善堂火灾案有关，更让她震惊的是，自己的父亲也牵扯其中，而这场复杂大戏的策划者，居然就是一路和自己携手探案的侠盗楚不凡。
