昔日同窗张海潮和黎东升出国读博深造，在众多从业者卓越技术和创新思想影响下，张、黎两人决定共同创业。而拥有雄厚资源的行业新贵黄仲恺，通过一番努力，却说服海潮与他创业。这让黎东升倍感背叛，与海潮分道扬镳，自立门户，玩转资本，却在成功前夕瞬间跌落谷底。勇敢追爱的黄林希跟随张海潮到美读研，却因他转投黄仲恺放弃追逐，又在海潮低谷时豁出性命帮他渡过难关。这让与东升几经分合的欧阳子夏，感慨万分。为响应祖国号召，众人放弃了国外高薪，选择回国重新开辟新天地。历经波折，初见成果，但海潮和东升却再次因理念不合而分开，选择各自为战。原本携手同行的海潮和林希，在一次公司突发变故中，两人关系降到冰点。面对资本的围追堵截，自主创新发展受限，如何破解被动局势？而海潮、东升是否会再度联手创造奇迹？海潮、林希能否破冰？众人又将如何抉择......
