精武会自霍元甲、陈真死后，由霍之徒弟刘镇山（刘家辉）继任声望渐隆，却遭日本武道人士陷害招致灭门，山带师弟郭大路（林文龙）、宗致豪（欧瑞伟）、霍东扬（胡越山）、马铁虎（黄振宁）等人辗转逃亡，终于至香江决心重建精武会，人称「 精武五虎」。 雄鹰会馆馆主李朗奚（王伟）横行香江，收买武林高手踢馆，五虎不敌，精武牌匾被毁，悲愤之余，使五虎勤苦练功。路天资聪颖更集四虎武功精髓，进步神速，却与华人买办之女方剑瑛（江欣燕）产生刻骨铭心的爱情。路面对爱恨交缠与五虎濒临决裂的困境，他该如何处理？
