抗战期间，顽强的中华儿女携手抵抗日本帝国主义的入侵，与此同时，国际社会对中华民族的援助也功不可没。在在中国西南乌蒙山脉晴隆县境内，具有战略意义的滇黔线是国外援助物资抵达中国最重要的生命线。这条路崎岖蜿蜒，险象环生，此外日军疯狂的轰炸更增加了它的危险性。而路上那条著名的“二十四道拐”，则堪为生命线上的险中之险。为了保障生命线的畅通无阻，何应钦命令实为地下党员的梅松（刘小锋 饰）赶赴晴隆担任保卫二十四道拐的特派员。 天上有飞机的轮番轰炸，地上则有间谍叛徒土匪的破坏。肩负家国大义的梅松成为捍卫生命线的最坚实的围墙……
