贾济材（欧阳震华 饰）本是一名商界精英，但受老板所托极不愿意出任由老板出资兴建的一所九流学校的校长。面对欠佳的学校名誉，无心向学的学生与不太配合的教师，济材无奈却想尽办法要帮学校扭转亏款局面。 为了开源节流，济材决定裁员，做事吊儿郎当的曾政良（陶大宇 饰）成为首选对象，就连一向唯一一名积极的老师王若诗（郭可盈 饰）也被锁定。此三个人都有各异的立场，常常发生冲突，但每一次冲突的发生都需要他们齐心协力解决，使他们对彼此也渐渐改观，继而令济材与政良同时爱上了若诗。 他们的努力都激起了同事们的斗志，在管教学生方面也颇有成效，全校上下合作一条心。没想到，学校将要关闭的消息传来了……
